86 minutes played Celtic winning 0-1 away to St Johnstone, referee Iain Brines with a clear view allows Michael Duberry to stop play with his hands before waving playing on. FT 0-1.

Injury time and a struggling Rangers winning 2-1, referee Alan Muir close by and with a clear view deines Kilmarnock a penalty. FT 2-1

41st minute 0-0 Celtic v rangers, referee Calum Murray close to the incident and with a clear view books Scott Brown for getting in the way of a follow through by rangers captain david weir. FT 1-0.

Weir escapes red card and penalty.

Motherwell player Jeffers trys to get past David Weir to be clear on goal, after pulling Weir trips Jeffers, referee Alan Muir close to the action and with a clear view plays on. A red coard would have seen David Weir out of the Glasgow derby the following week.

Incorrect offside call at Ibrox.

2-2 and late in the game assistant referee William Conquer wrongly flags Celtic's Georgios Samaras for offside when he is clearly on side. The same assistant referee who flagged for this offside against Celtic earlier in the season.

The game also saw rangers Naismith eventually sent off by referee Callum Murray after 75 minutes for his third dive where he appealed to the referee for a penalty/free kick, his fourth bookable offence. FT 2-2

50 minutes and Celtic chasing an equaliser, winger James Forrest goes in a bit late in the tackle, referee Willie Collum who was 20 yards away issues the first card of the day, red card to Celtic.

85 minutes played, Celtic still trailing 1-0, Nial McGinn clattered in the box and knocked off the ball. Referee Willie Collum close by and with a clear view yellow cards the Celtic player for simulation.



All this a day after Celtic manager Neil Lennon received an unprecedented six game ban for a first offence, one the club made a statement criticizing. Also a few hours before kickoff SFA President George Peat launched yet another attack on Celtic.

"Perhaps Celtic should devote more time to their own responsibilities and discipline than questioning others."

Selective refereeing Celtic v Motherwell

Celtic winning 1-0 and playing nerously. Referee Stephen Finnie and assistant referee David Watt ignore late challenge on Mark Wilson despite having a clear view of it. Play goes up the park where Lasley of Motherwell puts in a late challenge from behind on Emilio Izaguirre who is escourting the ball out for a goal kick, Motherwell player yellow carded for the foul but corner kick awarded to Motherwell, assistant referee Stuart Stevenson in agreement.

Scott Brown who had already been booked realises he wont win the ball and pulls out of a tackle, slides into Motherwell player who kicks Scott Browns knee. Assistant referee has a clear view of it and flags, referee rushes to the sceen to give Scott Brown his second yellow card and is suspended for the Glasgow derby. FT 1-0

A night with many unexplainable incidents like this, all in favour of the away team.

80 minutes played, Rangers down 1-0 away to Inverness. James Beattie who is clearly offside when the ball is passed to him recieves the ball and dives, referee Callum Murray close to the incident and with a clear view awards penalty without hesitation. Assistant Referee was not consulted.

Penalty denied at Tynecastle

70th minute and Celtic 2-0 down, Hearts player raises hand for a clear hand ball in the box. Referee Craig Thompson close to the incident and a decent view of it waves play on, Assistant Referee Graham Chambers with a clear view takes no action.

Inverness denied a blatent penalty against Rangers.

Rangers 1-0 up early in the second half. Richie Foran with only rangers captain David Weir to beat to be clear in front of goal, Weir takes him out of the action. Referee Ian Brines ingores the incident. Assistant referee didnt get involved. Game ended 1-1.

Celtic 1 Rangers 2, 67th minute. Referee Willie Collum awards a penalty to Rangers despite Kirk Broadfoot's dive happening behind him. Why did he not consult his assistant referee?

Three Penalties, one given then taken away

70 minutes played and Dundee United 1 Celtic 1 with Celtic desperately trying to maintain their 100% start to the season.

Gary Hooper after breaking away from Dundee Utd centre half Gary Kenneth's pulling and shoving is brought down by goalkeeper Dusin Pernis.

Referee Douglas McDonald with a clear view of the play immediately points to the spot for a penalty. After explaining the decision to half the protesting Dundee United team he is called over to his Assistant referee Steven Craven who had taken his place behind the goal for the penalty, both consult and decide it was no penalty.

Its clear McDonald had a better view of the incidents than his assistant who was further away and viewing behind the keeper rather than a better view side on as McDonald clearly was.

The assistant referee also had clear view of the two hand ball incidents McDonald didnt award penalties for in the same penalty area but didnt think it was worth getting involved in.

Direct Free Kick - Hearts v Celtic

The referee Craig Thompson blows for a foul. When the game restarted he stood with his hand raised indicating that he had awarded an indirect free kick for dangerous play.

How the Laws define dangerous play:

“… any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player himself). It is committed with an opponent nearby and prevents the opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.”

“Playing in a dangerous manner involves no physical contact between the players. If there is physical contact, the action becomes an offence punishable with a direct free kick or penalty kick.”

There clearly was physical contact and so a direct free kick should have been awarded. Craig Thompson with a clear view of the incident decided it was an indirect free kick. Why would he get such a fundamental decision 'wrong?'

Also in this game Hearts players kicked Celtic off the park with little punishment from the referee. Andres Hinkel was subject to a forearm smash from Hearts player David Obua a red card offence which went unpunished. Incident didn't make the BBC highlights, wonder if it will be subject to the mysterious video review panel?

Hamilton Accies goal disallowed.

Hamilton Accies score a goal at Ibrox in the 77th minute to make it 1-1, Ass. referee Steven Craven flags for 'offside' despite having a clear view of the goal scorers position.

Weir goes through another game without a yellow card.

Early in the Rangers v St Mirren game and the game still at 0-0.

Weir holds back St Mirren attacker and you could say he was the last man and be due a red card. Not even a yellow card from referee Charles Richmond.

Second incident Weir all over the attacker and pulls him to the ground while making contact with the attcker with his head, an offence that was a straight red card at the same stadium the week before. No yellow card.

Two typical Weir challenges and bookable offences by Rangers captain, yet another game without a booking.

Ex Rangers player and St Mirren Manager Angus MacPherson later commented "We see a different set of rules getting applied, none more so than when we're coming here."

Rangers manager W.Smith responded with

"Everybody wants people to get ordered off and everybody wants penalties against us and everybody wants everything against us at the present moment"

“We seem to be reaching a ridiculous stage where refereeing decisions actually become far more important than the game itself."

I guess the rest of the league must be 'paranoid'?

Lafferty attacks yet again, Celtic player sent off

Kyle Lafferty wrestles Scott Brown, Scott Brown reacts with an understandable wee nod to his chest.

Referee was the fastest man on the park all day in his run to red card Scott Brown. Notice David Weir have a kick at Fortuné while the referee is running to card the Celtic player, all in clear view of the Ass. Referee. The referee who later claimed he had a clear view of the incident does not take any action against Lafferty.

Scottish football is basically an organised crime syndicate run by the SFA for the benefit of rangers 'football' club. Particularly this season where the crime syndicate has been organised to steal the £10m Uefa award to the 'winner' of the SPL for entry into the 'Champions' League. £10m that the cash strapped Govan club desperately need to survive and continue their long filthy and hugely tarnished history.

Rangers player Kris Boyd elbows Hibs Merouane Zemmama, a red card offence in clear view of Ass. Referee and it appears the referee Steve Conroy also had a Clear un-obstructed view.

After the game it was revealed that the booking was for obstruction which gives the player two disciplinary points and not the three points a yellow card for 'Recklessly dangerous play' would bring. The difference between the two and three points mean that he is available for the next Glasgow derby game on February 28th.

Wonder if the incident will be referred to the mysterious Video Review Panel?

Referee Ian Brines is close by and appears to have a clear view of the incident awards a free kick to Aberdeen. Game ended 4-4.

Motherwell goal offside?

53 minutes played Motherwell 1-0 up against Rangers. Free kick sent into box, all Motherwell players on side, Motherwell player hits a shot, all Motherwell players on side. Goalscorer knocks it in Ass. Referee John Gilmore flags for offside, referee Callum Murray agrees and goal is not given. Game ended 1-1 on the same night Celtic beat Hearts 2-0.

83 minutes played and the score at 1-1, Artur Boruc lets go of the ball within the box and launches a standard kick up the park, ass. referee Francis Andrew flags for him 'handling'outside the box. An offence that is very rarely punished, free kick Falkirk at edge of Celtic box with a few minutes of the game remaining.

Celtic go up the park and Fortuné is pulled down, penalty not awarded. Referee Alan Muir has an un-obstructed view of both players.

Celtic were poor on the day but the cheating made sure they didnt get a win.

Thug Lafferty yet again tries to seriously injure a Celtic player. Just a yellow card.

Clear attempt at trying to break Hinkels leg 29 minutes into the game, referee Conroy has a clear view of it and only issues a yellow card. Red card offence.

Another two penalties

Samaras fouled in the box, and a Motherwell player clearly handles the ball in the box in a later incident. Charles Richmond close to the action and has full un-obstructed view of both incidents.

Shaun Maloney fouled in the box twice, both clear penalties. Maloney booked for second one by referee Craig Thompson.

Weir and Lafferty attack

Weir tries to break McDonalds leg and adds a follow up knee to the back right in front of the referee Craig Thompson who had a clear view, free kick and no chance of a booking.

The referee Conroy had a very quiet week until he upset Rangers at Kilmarnock.

As blatent a hand ball as you will ever see, was not shown on many highlights packages, hardly mentioned by the media (Unlike the Naismith thing when Seville beat Rangers 1-4).
