Boyd elbows and gets away with yellow card, offence then changed to obstruction.

Rangers player Kris Boyd elbows Hibs Merouane Zemmama, a red card offence in clear view of Ass. Referee and it appears the referee Steve Conroy also had a Clear un-obstructed view.

Boyd given a yellow card and direct free kick awarded.

After the game it was revealed that the booking was for obstruction which gives the player two disciplinary points and not the three points a yellow card for 'Recklessly dangerous play' would bring. The difference between the two and three points mean that he is available for the next Glasgow derby game on February 28th.

Wonder if the incident will be referred to the mysterious Video Review Panel?

If it was an indirect free kick the referee would have raised his arm until the free kick was taken.

Original bbc match report referred to the incident as a Cheeky Elbow
